McLaren Fine Art prints are printed on highest-grade, archival-quality paper or laminated, stretched canvas. We use Epson Stylus 9800 Pro wide-format printers with new 8-color ink technology and fine art papers designed for highest-quality art reproduction. The Stylus 9800 utilizes an intricate spray process known as “giclée” which allows for the detail of the original image to be transferred to print. Epson UltraChrome K3 archival inks achieve superior color expression on a wide variety of media. With improved pigment density and a soft, uniform resin coating, sharp image reproduction is accomplished, along with significant light and water resistance.

Customizing a Print
Over the years Ted has heard, "I love thie red corvette, but mine was in forest green. Do you sell any in green?" In the past, Ted would have to turn them down or he would have to convince the prospect to commission him for the green car. Through a partnership with his son Chris McLaren, a graphic designer and computer wiz, Ted has figured out how to customize his paintings without destroying the integrity of the original.
"Technology is the key to this process," notes Chris. "We have high resolution files of each of Ted's paintings from which we make giclee prints on paper and/or on canvas. When Ted told me about the color issues potential customers had, I started working on a solution for him. The process has taken several months to nail down, but we've finally done it! I took the time to research the archives on the classic cars Ted has painted to see what colors were offered that year for interiors/exteriors. This keeps Ted's prints as authentic as possible. What's better yet - the computer graphics and giclee printing, make owning a McLaren Auto Art print easily affordable!"
Ted's 1960 Corvette painting is customizable in 7 different colors: Dark Grey, Teal, White, Red, Green, Blue and Black. The Teal and Blue customized art have teal and blue interiors, respectively. And the red vette has a black interior. All other interiors are red. Here is a photograph of the different colors applied to the painting.

Below is a photo of the different colors Ted and Chris offer for the 1966 GTO. The colors are: Charcoal Blue; Cameo Ivory; Original Red and Starlight Black.

- Customization of license plates is also available. For best results limit the characters to 12. Here's an example of what you can do with the plate:
